Post World Series numbers and notes

The Giants went 4-0 vs. left-handed starters in the postseason.

The Nelson Cruz homer snapped an 18 1/3 inning scoreless streak for the Rangers.

Cruz also extended his major league record for extra base hits in a postseason to 13.

If you're into financials, the net receipts from the World Series totaled $35,120,247.73. The players pool for the series was $16,941,863.15 with each club getting $4,699,161.25.

The cold hard numbers are tougher to take for Rangers fans. Texas hit .190 against San Francisco with a 5.86 ERA.

Josh Hamilton's first World Series ends with a .100 batting average. Vladimir Guerrero hit .071 in the Series with and tied Cruz with a team high five strikeouts. The only regular in the lineup to hit better than .250 against the Giants was Mitch Moreland, who batted .462.
