According to multiple sources, Rangers CEO Chuck Greenberg, president Nolan Ryan and general manager Jon Daniels flew to Little Rock Monday to meet with free agent left-hander Cliff Lee.
Greenberg declined comment, and Daniels is in meetings in Orlando for the annual general manager's meetings.
The meeting with Lee lasted approximately two hours.
The Yankees also met with the Lee, the most coveted pitcher on the free agent market, last week. The Washington Nationals are also interested in Lee, who was traded to the Rangers in July.
Darek Braunecker, Lee's agent, did not return phone calls. Braunecker said last week he didn't expect a deal to get done until December.

bestill my heart! forever and a day later the Rangers brass finally finds some time to make the arduous trek to Little Rock.
shoulda been there on site at 1201am nine days ago and not left til you had a deal or at least conveyed your desires!
still, at least it's finally a sign of doing something. assuming Lee will get an offer from someone else and we'll get a chance to counter is dangerous at best.
plus, assumption, as they say in a fine movie, is the mother of all eff-ups.
