2011 Rangers to have Ian Kinsler bat first, Michael Young sixth

Manager Ron Washington said that he is planning to have Ian Kinsler bat leadoff in 2011 and move Michael Young to sixth in the lineup so that he can be in a spot where he will have an opportunity to drive in more runs. Elvis Andrus will bat second, Young's former spot.

The first Cactus League game is Sunday. Kinsler will leadoff, followed by Andrus, Josh Hamilton, Nelson Cruz, Young, David Murphy, Mitch Moreland, Yorvit Torrealba and Julio Borbon. Once Adrian Beltre is healthy, he will bat fourth and be followed by Cruz, Young, Moreland, Torrealba and Borbon.

Comments

I do hope it has been explained to Michael Young why he has been dropped to sixth in the lineup, otherwise, we may be in for another explosion.

Surely the Rangers would not fail to communicate with him again would they?
