Tuesday morning Rangers report

Brandon Webb reported no ill-effects after he played long-toss up to 200 feet this morning. He will have a light day Wednesday and have his progress re-evaluated. "We went to 200 feet. That's crazy for me," Webb said. "There was good life on the ball. It was a good day."

Right-hander Eric Hurley, who has lost the past two seasons because of injury, will not throw a bullpen today after suffering a mild strain of his right hamstring. The Rangers' don't expect the strain to keep him out very far beyond today.

Fabio Castillo was walking -- albeit gingerly -- without the boot that has been protecting the broken bone in his left foot. While the injury appears to be healing, it would seem Castillo is still a few weeks away from a bullpen session.

Today's weather forecast calls for temperatures in the 60s, abundant sunshine and little wind. The forecast for the rest of the week, though, calls for cooler temperatures and rain by the weekend. The Rangers' first spring game is Sunday, when the high should be in the mid-50s with a chance of rain.
