Historically, the championship baseball teams have never been about doing the "great" things often, but rather the little things always. I hated the 61' Yankees with a passion, but if their lead-off man walked, he scored. Period. If they had a man on second with less than one out, he scored. If they had a man on third with one out, he scored. The Rangers have tremendous talent, but they seem to lack tenacity and drive. Too many standing around waiting for someone else to hit a 3-run homer. The whole team needs to step up and start acting like the high paid professionals they are. Ron Washington needs to get the message across that Frisco and Round Rock are just down the road and teeming with young talent who want their shot. A two day stint down on "the farm" might wake up some unproductive bats.
