Treanor reacts to trade from Rangers

Catcher Matt Treanor said he knew a couple of days ago that he'd likely be dealt. He believes the pitching injuries and bullpen woes led to the move.

Treanor signed with the Rangers the off-season because he wanted to be with Texas, so the news was difficult to take.

"It's tough," he said. "I try to take the emotion out of it in this situation because I need to re-focus and be a good teammate for my guys here now. But it's hard going the way we did last year. We became really tight. To have to leave that group of guys it was tough to go into that clubhouse today and pick up my stuff."
