OAKLAND, Calif. -- Colby Lewis allowed only two runs in eight innings, and Nelson Cruz hit one of three homers off Brett Anderson as the Rangers rolled to an 11-2 victory Saturday at Overstock.com Coliseum.
Michael Young and Mike Napoli also homered to back Lewis, who won for the second time in 2011 after losing three straight decisions. He struck out six and walked one while allowing only six hits. Two of those were solo homers.
Young gave the Rangers a 3-1 lead in the third with his first homer off the season. The Rangers broke the game open in the fifth, which Young and Adrian Beltre started with singles. Cruz followed with his seventh homer down the left-field line, and Napoli hit a solo shot two pitches later as the Rangers went back-to-back for the first time in 2011.
Ian Kinsler added an RBI double in the eighth, and the Rangers tacked on three unearned runs in the ninth. They finished with 14 hits, nine of which came against of which came against Anderson. He entered the game with a 1.56 ERA but was tagged for seven runs and walked a season-high four.
