Rangers prospect to debut Friday

Right-hander Luke Jackson, who was the 45th pick in last year's draft, will make his pro debut for Hickory Friday. Jackson had been pitching in extended spring games. His first start in Low A will come against the Rome Braves.

Jackson didn't sign with the Rangers until the middle of August last year. He played high school ball at Calvary Christian in Ft. Lauderdale. He went 8-0 with a 0.90 ERA as a senior.
