The plan for All-Star closer Neftali Feliz is for him to throw a bullpen session Monday in Oakland and possibly leave the Rangers for a one-inning rehab appearance most likely at Double A Frisco.
Feliz played long-toss Friday and had a light bullpen session Saturday, his first time on a mound since going on the 15-day disabled list April 23 with right shoulder inflammation. The bullpen Monday will be more intense, as Feliz has told the coaching staff that he could pitch in games right now. He isn't eligible to be reinstated from the DL until Friday.
"He feels that he's good to go," pitching coach Mike Maddux said.
