Rangers Tuesday pregame notes

First the update on the dinged Rangers.

Manager Ron Washington said Julio Borbon won't truly test him hamstring until Friday at the earliest. That means Borbon will likely miss the entire road trip to Tampa Bay and Cleveland.

Josh Hamilton will not play in the field until Friday at the earliest.

Brandon Webb threw six innings against San Diego in an extended spring start. He allowed four runs (one earned) on six hits. He didn't walk anyone and struck out six while hitting two.

Tommy Hunter played catch today and felt fine. He's hoping to be on a mound soon.

As for the current Rangers, Washington said he's not concerned about Neftali Feliz continuing to go to his fastball. Washington said that in one-run games, he's okay with pitchers sticking with their best stuff. Washington said when Feliz pitches with a bigger lead, he'll likely go to his off-speed stuff more but that will be his decision along with whoever is catching.
