Rangers vs. Athletics postgame notes

Rangers outfielder David Murphy said the Rangers are kind of fortunate to be where they are considering how bad they are playing right now. He's right. At worst, they are three games back. They certainly aren't playing like a team that's just three games out of first place. That's the beauty of the American League West.

As for notes ...

The Rangers haven't won consecutive games since April 22-24.

They are 9-17 since their 9-1 start.

The Rangers are consistent at losing series openers. They've lost each of their last five.

Including the postseason, the Rangers Elvis Andrus has stolen 19-consecutive bases.

Mitch Moreland is one of seven players with multiple home runs off Trevor Cahill.
