Saturday Rangers vs. Yankees pitching matchup

It will be up to Derek Holland to try and snap a two-game slide for the Rangers Saturday night. He's going to have to go against some bad personal history against the Yankees to do it.

Holland is 0-3 with an 8.10 ERA in his career against New York. He's allowed 18 earned runs in 20 innings pitched. As a starter, he's 0-3 with a 7.71 ERA. The bad news is that the Rangers have only scored two runs in his three starts. Considering the Rangers have two runs in their last two games, that's not a really good combination.

Texas faces Bartolo Colon, who will be making his 27th start vs. the Rangers. He's 17-6 lifetime against the Rangers with a 3.60 ERA. But his last start against the Rangers came in 2009, and he lasted just 4 2/3 innings.
