The Rangers Endy Chavez isn't that hurt after all

That's the logic for keeping him in Arlington and optioning Chris Davis to Round Rock.

Apparently there was a miscommunication on the roster move. Here's assistant general manager Thad Levine's explanation.

"Chavez is not officially 100 percent right not but is game ready, as he has been the last couple of days," Levine said. "We think he's days aways from being able to start in the outfield. We made the decision we'd like to keep him active as a player right now and as an option for Wash. We'll re-evaluate him in a couple of days but in his current state we think he can still make contributions to the team coming off the bench."
