ATLANTA -- The Braves scored two unearned runs in a three-run third against Alexi Ogando, and the Rangers went only 1 for 12 with runners in scoring position in a 4-2 loss that prevented a three-game sweep at Turner Field.
The Rangers closed their 10-game road trip at 3-7 and finished a stretch of 17 of 20 on the road with a 10-10 record. Alexi Ogando suffered two losses on the road trip and is now 7-2 on the season.
Ogando labored in the third, which started with catcher's interference against Yorvit Torrelba. The Braves had three singles and benefitted from a second error on Torrealba when he and Michael Young collided while trying to catch a popup that would have ended the inning.
The Rangers got as close as 3-2 after Josh Hamilton drove in a run with a groundout in the seventh, but the Braves countered with another two-out run in their half of the inning.
