In addition to picking up his seventh victory of the season, Texas right-hander Colby Lewis added a fifth-inning double in the 3-2 Rangers win over Houston Wedneday.
The Lewis double came one night after Texas starter C.J. Wilson tripled against Houston. Lewis hit his double to left center, but unlike Wilson, he had no designs on third base.
"There's C.J. and then there's me," Lewis said. "C.J.'s a little more wirey than me. I'm not going to try and stretch anything and slide in."
Lewis had two hits last year against Milwaukee and hit three home runs in 2009 in Japan. Trying to stretch doubles to triples aren't part of his game.
"I can do the trot," Lewis said. "I can definitely do that."
