ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Colby Lewis scattered four his in eighth scoreless innings, and Elvis Andrus delivered a two-run single with two outs in the eighth to send the Rangers to a 3-0 victory over Tampa Bay and a third straight winning series.
Lewis struck out eight and walked two while throwing 112 pitches. Tampa Bay didn't get a runner past second base against the right-hander, who improved to 5-5 on the year.
Neftali Feliz, who has struggled of late, pitched around a leadoff single to notch his 11th save.
Nelson Cruz drove in the first Rangers run with a single in the fifth after Adrian Beltre had doubled against David Price to start the inning. The game remained 1-0 until the eighth, when Price got the first two outs before allowing a double to Craig Gentry and a walk to Ian Kinsler.
After a double steal, Andrus poked a one-hopper past first baseman Sean Rodriguez for a 3-0 lead.
