Texas shortstop Elvis Andrus played catch with manager Ron Washington and hit in the batting cages. Andrus is an option tonight if needed, but the Rangers are hoping to have him ready to start Thursday.
Alexi Ogando will start Friday, but the Rangers have talked about options beyond that if Ogando continues to struggle. He's lost his last three starts.
Mike Napoli will likely rejoin the club Monday. The Rangers plan for him to begin a rehab assignment Thursday.
