Rangers updates on Hunter, Tobin, Brazoban

Good thing I read the game notes ...

Right-hander Tommy Hunter (groin) will throw two innings Saturday in a rehab start from Triple A Round Rock. If he has been placed on a spring-training-like program, he would likely be stretched out enough to join the Rangers as a starter in late June.

Right-hander Mason Tobin not only met with Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday, but he let Andrews operate on his injured elbow. The game notes say that the Rangers "will have more information on Tobin at a later date" -- a curious statement.

Right-hander Yhency Brazoban has requested and been granted his release from Triple A Round Rock. No big surprise there.
