Tonight's Rangers-Blue Jays lineups

The roof is open at Rogers Centre, and the temperature is in the neighbourhood of 30 degrees. And it's a steamy 30, too.

The Adrian Beltre hamstring, and to a lesser extent Craig Gentry's concussion, are causing manager Ron Washington to get creative. Yorvit Torrealba is in the Rangers' lineup tonight as the designated hitter, the second DH appearance of his career. The other came when he played for the Giants in an interleague game in 2005 at Minnesota. With Taylor Teagarden on the roster, Washington feels comfortable using Torrealba and Mike Napoli in the same lineup. Napoli catches Alexi Ogando tonight.

The left-handed-hitting David Murphy starts in left field, and Josh Hamilton shifts over to center. Gentry, a right-handed hitter, would normally get the start against a left-handed pitcher, but Washington stuck Murphy in there tonight against Brett Cecil. Mitch Moreland, another left-handed hitter, starts at first.

Rangers lineup vs. LHP Brett Cecil: Ian Kinsler, 2b; Elvis Andrus, ss; Josh Hamilton, cf; Michael Young, 3b; Nelson Cruz, rf; Mike Napoli, c; Mitch Moreland, 1b; Yorvit Torrealba, dh; David Murphy, lf.

Blue Jays lineup vs. RHP Alexi Ogando: Yunel Escobar, ss; Colby Rasmus, cf; Jose Bautista, 3b; Adam Lind, 1b; Edwin Encarnacion, dh; Eric Thames, rf; Aaron Hill, 2b; Travis Snider, lf; J.P. Arencibia, c.
