Major League Baseball just released its 2012 master schedule and the Rangers followed with theirs, which shows they will open the season at home April 6 against Chicago. Seattle will follow the three-game series against the White Sox with four games in Arlington before the Rangers embark on their first road trip to Minnesota (April 13-15), Boston (April 17-18) and Detroit (April 19-22).
The Rangers will return home from that trip for three games against the Yankees in their only Rangers Ballpark visit. Boston comes to town July 23-25.
Interleague play includes six games against Houston (May 18-20 at Minute Maid Park, June 15-17), at San Francisco (June 8-10), vs. Arizona (June 12-14), at San Diego (June 18-20) and vs. Colorado (June 22-24).
The Rangers close out the season at Oakland on Oct. 1-3. The Rangers' final 20 games are against American League West foes.
Other highlights include the Rangers spending July 4 at Chicago; the second-half resuming on Friday, July 13, at Seattle as part of a nine-game West Coast road trip; and a week in June in the Bay Area with three games at Oakland on June 5-7 followed by the World Series rematch against the Giants.
