Rangers ALCS Game 1 pregame notes: Tateyama ready

Here are a few pregame notes before the Rangers take on the Tigers in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series at Rangers Ballpark.

* Yoshinori Tateyama said he feels good and is ready to pitch whenever called upon. Tateyama was added to the ALCS roster after being left off the ALDS roster. The Rangers decided to go with an eight-man bullpen instead of a seven-man bullpen. "I'm happy," said Tateyama, who threw a live batting practice on Thursday.

* The Detroit Tigers will be without outfielder Delmon Young for the series. They have Ryan Raburn starting in leftfield in Game 1, and pushed Miguel Cabrera up to the three-hole and Victor Martinez into the cleanup role. "I know you miss your guy, but that's why you have a team," Ron Washington said. "That's what this is about, team. And someone will step up."

* Ron Washington said he is sticking with the same lineup he used in the ALDS. He never thought about moving David Murphy up in the lineup to break up four right-handed hitters (Michael Young-Adrian Beltre-Mike Napoli-Nelson Cruz).
