Rangers photos from a rainy (eventually) Wednesday

Game 6 was banged for a day Wednesday because of the threat of wet weather in the St. Louis area. The decision was made at 2 p.m. It started raining three hours later, but the rain subsided by a little after 7 p.m. The game probably could have been played, but oh, well.

Anyhoo, here are some photos from Ron Jenkins, Star-Telegram staff photographer. Enjoy.

At this point in the day, somewhere around 3:45 p.m., the tarp was on the field but rain wasn't falling from the sky.

When Colby Lewis stood after stretching his legs and giggling at his teammates, his back was dry.

A great place to make an important phone call is in an empty ballpark. C.J. Wilson takes advantage of the quiet time here.

Sheesh. Long phone call.

Adrian Beltre emerged from the clubhouse following the postponement of Game 6 and asked, "Where's the rain?" It was coming, Adrian.

By the time Ron Jenkins and the rest of the Star-Telegram photo crew left Busch Stadium, the highways were wet because of (gasp) rain.

Mike Napoli, the World Series MVP through five games, stays loose before the postponed Game 6 by playing long toss.
