General manager Jon Daniels said that there are no deals involving Koji Uehara in the works with any team, and he expects that the 59 players on the spring roster will be the ones the Rangers take into spring training.
Daniels left open the possibility that something could happen, but as of now, said Daniels, "He's a Ranger. I just walked by his locker."
A possible deal with Oakland surfaced Friday, but quickly went quiet. Uehara said on Sunday that he is hoping to hear something more concrete about his future, and Daniels said that could be achieved by speaking to manager Ron Washington.
The Rangers have their annual precamp organizational meeting Wednesday.
"This is the group we're expecting," Daniels said.
