The Texas Rangers had several players under surgeries and repair injuries this off-season. Here's an update on them:
RHP Mike Adams: He had inguinal hernia repair surgery on Jan. 3. The recovery time is 4-6 weeks, and he is playing long toss on schedule.
OF Josh Hamilton: He had sports hernia surgery in November in Philadelphia, and is a full-go on all baseball activities.
1B Mitch Moreland: He had right wrist surgery on Dec. 1 in Cleveland. The recovery timeline is eight weeks, and Moreland is on schedule. He will be monitored at the outset of camp.
C/1B Mike Napoli: He has been rehabbing his ankle all off-season, and will be monitored by the Rangers at the outset of spring training.
LHP Mitch Stetter: He had hip surgery in August last year, and is a full-go on all baseball activities.
1B/OF Brad Hawpe: He had Tommy John elbow surgery in August of last year, and is a full-go to swing and play first base. He is still building up arm strength.
2B Ian Kinsler: He had a platelet-rich plasma injection to seperate a ligament from the bone in his right ankle, is a full-go on all baseball activities.
