Rangers Sunday morning update: The lineups

The Rangers will send out what could very well be the Opening Day lineup today in the Cactus League lid-lifter against Kansas City.

Royals lineup: Alex Gordon, lf; Johnny Giavotella, 2b; Eric Hosmer, 1b; Billy Butler, dh; Mike Moustakas, 3b; Jeff Francoeur, rf; Salvador Perez, c; Lorenzo Cain, cf; Alcides Escobar, ss.

Royals pitchers: Luis Mendoza, Sean O'Sullivan, Vin Mazzaro, Nate Adcock, Ryan Verdugo, Tommy Hottovy, Kelvin Herrera.

Rangers lineup: Ian Kinsler, 2b; Elvis Andrus, ss; Josh Hamilton, lf; Adrian Beltre, 3b; Michael Young, dh; Nelson Cruz, rf; Mike Napoli, c; Mitch Moreland, 1b; Craig Gentry, cf.

Rangers pitchers: Colby Lewis, Scott Feldman, Michael Kirkman, Robbie Ross, Sean Green, Miguel De Los Santos.

Yorvit Torrealba (cold) said that he is feeling good enough to play in a game. The catcher could be in the lineup Monday.

Matt West (elbow) will begin his strengthening regime today. The program will last six weeks before he throws a ball.

Joe Beimel (elbow) will throw in an intrasquad game Monday after getting through live batting practice Saturday without any issues.

The Rangers have remained in contact with free-agent left-hander Michael Gonzalez. Gonzalez is represented by Scott Boras, who isn't afraid to hold back is veteran clients until a need develops. The Rangers are in need of a left-handed reliever. Michael Kirkman seems to be the front-runner for the job.
