Saturday's Rangers notes: Beltre sidelined; Murphy back in lineup

Adrian Beltre is out of the lineup for the third consecutive game with what the team called mild lower back stiffness.

Beltre said the injury is not serious, and will not affect him when the regular season begins on Friday.

"I'm ready," Beltre said.

David Murphy returned to the lineup on Saturday after missing Friday with food poisoning. Murphy believes he got it from eating queso at a restaurant.
