Thursday morning from Surprise: Game on

The Rangers will play the first of two intrasquad games today on Nolan Ryan Field behind the clubhouse at the Surprise Recreation Campus. Shortstop Elvis Andrus is in the early lineup after feeling only mild discomfort Wednesday in his left heel, where he had a wart removed last week. Adrian Beltre is not a player, but he said there is nothing wrong with him physically. Yorvit Torrealba has been scratched and sent home with either the onset of a cold or allergies.

Manager Ron Washington said that his goal is for the starting lineup to get at least two at-bats.
