Friday's Rangers notes: Bullpen availability; Ron Washington addresses early success

Scott Feldman will likely be given tonight off after his spot start on Wednesday against New York. Feldman threw 62 pitches in his start, working 3 1/3 innings.

All other relievers are available following Thursday's off day. Starter Neftali Feliz remains an option out of the bullpen, too, as the Rangers skipped his last start. Feliz will pitch again on Tuesday in Toronto.

Here are a few other notes from Friday:

* Manager Ron Washington needed three words to describe the Rangers' start out of the game. "They can play," Washington said. The Rangers have won the first six series of the season, a franchise first.

* Colby Lewis didn't mention anything in particular for limiting his walks to start the season. He has issued one walk, and is on a 24 2/3 inning stretch of not issuing any. That's four innings shy of matching the longest such stretch in franchise history. "I'm just on a stretch where I don't suck," Lewis said.

* Elvis Andrus has been getting more off-speed pitches, and has been trying to hit those up the middle or to the opposite field. When the season began, Andrus was seeing more inside pitches and trying to pull them but has altered his approach.
