Adrian Beltre will not play tonight, and is listed day to day after his MRI produced "normal" results on Monday.
Beltre had mild inflammation in his left hamstring area, although the injury was not directly related to his hamstring.
Asked when he would be ready to play, Beltre said: "Soon."
Beltre said he can go through all baseball activities, and did so Monday.
Other notes from Monday:
* Ron Washington said he wasn't concerned about controlling Yu Darvish's emotions on Tuesday. Darvish is set to face fellow Japanese pitcher Hiroki Kuroda of the New York Yankees. "He gets better each time out," Washington said.
* The Rangers released prospect Justin Miller, who had Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery last Wednesday. Miller, a right-handed reliever, was placed on the 40-man roster this offseason as protection from the Rule 5 draft. He could be re-signed to a minor league deal.
* Triple A Round Rock right-hander Neil Ramirez was named PCL pitcher of the week.
