Saturday's Rangers pregame notes: Napoli out; Feldman throws live BP

Mike Napoli remains sidelined with an upset stomach, although he reported feeling better on Saturday. Yorvit Torrealba makes his second consecutive start at catcher, his first consecutive games in more than two weeks.

Here are a few other pregame notes:

* Scott Feldman threw a live batting practice session on Saturday. He felt that could help him accelerate the process of getting back into a starting routine. Feldman has taken Neftali Feliz's spot in the rotation for now.

* Yu Darvish is scheduled to make his 10th start of the season on Sunday. He is coming off his worst big-league outing against Seattle, and Ron Washington would like to see Darvish cut down on his walks. As far as pitching in the heat, Washington said the team doesn't talk about it and won't address the issue with Darvish.

* Manager Ron Washington talked about his approach when a position player comes on the mound. Washington smiled and said he tried to pad his stats a day after the Blue Jays had catcher Jeff Mathis throw an inning of relief.
