The tightness in Nelson Cruz's right quadriceps muscle isn't going to keep him out of the Texas Rangers' starting lineup.
After exiting Saturday's game with the tightness, Cruz was back in the lineup Sunday against the Houston Astros for the three-game series finale.
"It's good," Cruz said of his quad.
Here are a few other pregame notes:
* Yu Darvish faces the Seattle Mariners on Monday. It's the first time he'll go against an opponent that he's faced during the regualr season. Darvish made his big league debut against the Mariners on April 9, struggling in the first inning but managing to earn the victory. Manager Ron Washington said he doesn't expect Darvish to alter his approach. After all, as Washington said, the big league hitters haven't given any reason for Darvish to change it.
* Reliever Mike Adams said he felt better on Sunday, and expected to be available out of the bullpen. He has been fighting a respiratory infection for the past four days, but said he felt as good as he's had. Joe Nathan is also available out of the bullpen today after taking a day off following four consecutive appearances.
* The Rangers starters have posted a 4.58 ERA over the last 25 games after starting the season with a 2.54 ERA. Ron Washington believes that the starters need to get back to pounding the strike zone and working more efficiently.
