Ron Washington names American League All-Star staff

Ron Washington has named his All-Star staff.

The Texas Rangers manager chose Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost and Oakland Athletics manager Bob Melvin to serve as the A.L. coaches. Washington will also have his Rangers coaching staff with him -- Dave Anderson (third base coach); Scott Coolbaugh (hitting coach); Andy Hawkins (bullpen coach); Mike Maddux (pitching coach); Jackie Moore (bench coach) and Gary Pettis (first base coach).

Nick Kenney, the head athletic trainer for the Royals, and Lonnie Soloff, the head athletic trainer for the Indians, were also named to the A.L. staff.

Tony La Russa's National League coaching staff consists of Brewers manager Ron Roenicke and Mets manager Terry Collins. La Russ will also have the coaches from the 2011 World Series championship team -- Dave Duncan (pitching), Derek Lilliquist (bullpen), Mark McGwire (hitting), Dave McKay (first base coach; currently with the Chicago Cubs), Jose Oquendo (third base coach) and Joe Pettini (bench; currently with the Houston Astros).
