The Rangers will attempt to win their first series on their 10-game road trip and try to salvage a 4-6 record today without Michael Young or Nelson Cruz in the lineup. Young is getting a day off ahead of an off day, and will have two full days of rest ahead of the start of the Rangers' upcoming homestand. Cruz is sitting a day after leaving the game in the eighth inning with a sore right Achilles, a by-product of his new shoes. He should be OK by the opener of the homestand Tuesday.
