Thursday's Rangers notes: Yu Darvish and the Final Vote

Mike Napoli, Derek Holland and Michael Kirkman are among the handful of Rangers on Twitter and have encouraged their followers to send Yu Darvish to the All-Star Game. MLB has a designated hashtag for every player in the Final Vote, and every tweet with the '#VoteYu' hashtag will be counted for Darvish.

Voting ends today at 3 p.m. and Darvish has been in the lead since Day 1, but MLB said the races were tightening.

"Yeah, he definitely should be an All-Star," Holland said. "He's got what it takes, but now it's up to the fans."

Here are a few other notes from Thursday:

* Colby Lewis is scheduled to throw a light bullpen today. Manager Ron Washington expects Lewis to be ready for the second half. Washington added that he doesn't believe Lewis will need a rehab start, although that is subject to change.

* Alexi Ogando is scheduled to throw a second bullpen session today. After Ogando throws his third, the Rangers will have a better idea where he is and look at getting him a rehab assignment.

* Derek Holland will not be on a pitch count for his start on Saturday.
