Tonight's Rangers-White Sox lineups

The big news coming out of the Texas Rangers' lineup is that Josh Hamilton is getting his first day off since June 17. A side effect of that includes Leonys Martin getting his first start in more than two weeks, as Ron Washington has him starting in left field and batting eighth.

It's the 11th start of the season for Martin, who is hitless in his last 16 at-bats and has played in only 14 of 34 games since being recalled on June 15.

Washington said Martin's development has not been hurt by his lack of playing time. Martin has been around veteran major leaguers, of course, and has also been able to work on his defense with Gary Pettis and his offense with Scott Coolbaugh.

Here are tonight's lineups, as Matt Harrison goes for his 13th win of the season.

Texas -- 1. Ian Kinsler, 2b; 2. Elvis Andrus, ss; 3. Adrian Beltre, 3b; 4. Nelson Cruz, rf; 5. David Murphy, lf; 6. Michael Young, 1b; 7. Mike Napoli, c; 8. Leonys Martin, lf; 9. Craig Gentry, cf.

Pitcher -- Matt Harrison (12-5, 3.02 ERA)
