Colby Lewis will be back with the Texas Rangers at some point in 2013, as the team announced a one-year, $2 million extension with the right-hander. Incentives based on games started and days on the active roster could add an additional $4 million to the contract.
Lewis had season-ending surgery on his right flexor tendon in July, and the recovery timetable is nine months to a year.
Here is footage of the news conference with remarks by assistant general manager Thad Levine and Lewis.
