Sunday's Rangers-Rays lineups

The Rangers will have what has become their standard lineup against right-handers today when they face Tampa Bay's James Shields. Manager Ron Washington had considered giving Adrian Beltre the choice of taking a day at DH, but he apparently declined. Ian Kinsler is the second baseman, even though Washington agrees that Kinsler is out of rhythm right now. That applies to all facets, but Washington believes that Kinsler gives the Rangers the best chance to win.

Rangers lineup vs. RHP James Shields: Ian Kinsler, 2b; Elvis Andrus, ss; Josh Hamilton, cf; Adrian Beltre, 3b; Nelson Cruz, rf; Michael Young, dh; David Murphy, lf; Geovany Soto, c; Mitch Moreland, 1b.

Rays lineup vs. RHP Roy Oswalt: B.J. Upton, cf; Jeff Keppinger, 3b; Ben Zobrist, ss; Evan Longoria, dh; Ben Francisco, lf; Matt Joyce, rf; Ryan Roberts, 2b; Carlos Penz, 1b; Jose Molina, c.
