Rangers awaiting more information on Josh Hamilton's plans

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels did not meet with Josh Hamilton’s agent at the GM meetings, but he spoke with Mike Moye and plans to do so again next week.

Daniels hopes to have a clearer picture of the path Hamilton and Moye are taking as the five-time All-Stars explores free agency for the first time in his career.

"I think I'll get a sense of that when Mike and I talk, probably next week," Daniels said. "Outside of that, I'm kind of in the dark. I can't really say."

Moye has not given the Rangers a timeline for Hamilton to reach a decision, nor have they requested one. Baltimore and Seattle have emerged during these meetings as potential suitors for Hamilton.
