Rangers ticket prices for 2013 to climb

Seeking to build a business model that will keep the Rangers' payroll competitive and keep Rangers Ballpark up to date, the Rangers announced on Tuesday that their ticket prices will increase for 2013.

The Rangers are also introducing dynamic ticket pricing for all adult upper reserved seats. Prices will rise or fall based on demand, which the Rangers are hoping will help drive ticket sales for games that traditionally are difficult sells. It will also encourage early purchases for premier games before ticket prices jump as supply falls.

Individual tickets for all games except Opening Day will go on sale at 9 a.m. March 2. Fans can register for an lottery for Opening Day tickets beginning at 9 a.m. Feb. 1 and continuing through noon Feb. 20. Those selected can purchase two tickets for the April 5 home opener.

Ten-game plans, which go on sale at 9 a.m. next Monday, include a free ticket to the opener against the Angels.

Cash parking will be $15.
