Rangers build 2013 advertising campaign around "Hello win column!"

The Texas Rangers intend to promote the 2013 team by using the trademark phrase, "Hello win column!" made famous by beloved broadcaster Mark Holtz in television and radio commercials.

The Rangers' advertising campaign is built around sending a message to fans that the team is committed to winning in all facets of the game and believe Holtz's signature "Hello win column!" line shows that.

Holtz, who was the radio (1982-94) and TV (1995-97) voice of the Rangers until his passing in September 1997, used the signature phrase after every victory. He was elected to the Rangers Hall of Fame in 2005.

"There is no better way to sum up the emotional rush of a win than the great Mark Holtz’s phrase," Rangers chief operating officer Rick George said in a statement. "That line immediately calls to mind passion and excitement through an honored piece of Rangers broadcasting history."

The first TV commercial featuring Rangers manager Ron Washington saying "Hello win column!" began airing in the Dallas--Fort Worth market on Monday.
