Father of Sandy Hook shooting victim to throw out first pitch at Rangers' home opener

Former North Texas resident Robbie Parker, who lost his daughter Emile during the December shooting at Sandy Hook Elemetary in Newtown, Conn, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Rangers' home opener April 5 against Anaheim.

Parker has long been a Rangers fan and took Emile to games in Arlington, Boston and Seattle. ESPN Dallas and various local websites helped raise money for Emilie's Fund, which has assisted families of those effected by the Dec. 14 tragedy that killed 20 children and six adults.
