The Rangers and Leonys Martin don't seem overly concerned, but the center fielder was scratched from Wednesday's lineup because of tightness in his left hamstring.
Martin said that he first felt the discomfort Sunday against Seattle, but he played Monday and didn't inform the training staff until Wednesday morning. They are taking a cautious approach, so Martin could miss the next two games.
There were several pitchers slowed so far this spring scheduled to throw bullpen sessions Wednesday, including a 40-pitch session for Colby Lewis. Also throwing were Kyle McClellan, Joakim Soria, Roman Mendez and Wilmer Font. Tanner Scheppers and Yoshinori Tateyama were to throw an inning apiece in a B game against Chicago.
