The Texas Rangers announced Sunday that they claimed left-handed pitcher Brad Mills off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels.
The 28-year-old Mills will join the Rangers later today or Monday, and has been added to the 40-man roster. To make room, Neftali Feliz has been placed on the 60-day disabled list.
Mills has spent parts of the past four seasons in the big leagues with the Blue Jays and Angels, primarily as a starter. He is 1-0 with a 6.00 ERA in three games, including one start, this spring.
For his big league career, Mills is 3-3 with a 7.76 ERA in 15 games, including 10 starts.
Feliz underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery last August, and is continuing to rehab from the surgery.
