Matt Harrison dealing with lower back stiffness

Matt Harrison left his last start with lower back stiffness, the team announced today. Harrison is still scheduled to make his next start on Thursday in Seattle, but more will be known after he goes through a bullpen session on Tuesday.

Harrison, an 18-game winner last season, has gotten off to a slow start in his first two outings, going 0-2 with an 8.44 ERA. He allowed five runs on eight hits with four walks and three strikeouts over five innings in an 8-4 loss to the Angels on Saturday.

Harrison also started the season opener against the Astros on March 31, and allowed six runs (five earned) on six hits with three walks and nine strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.
