Matt Harrison lands on disabled list; Justin Grimm to start Thursday

Matt Harrison has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a lower back strain, retroactive to Saturday. The Rangers are expected to recall right-hander Justin Grimm from Triple A Round Rock to start Thursday in Seattle.

Grimm was scheduled to pitch today for the Express.

Harrison has been dealing with a lower back issues the past couple of weeks, and it has affected his first two starts. He is 0-2 with an 8.44 ERA.

Harrison could come off the DL on April 21 at the earliest.
