Rangers place Alexi Ogando on disabled list

The Texas Rangers announced that Alexi Ogando has been placed on the disabled list with right biceps tendinitis, and are recalling right-handed reliever Cory Burns from Triple A Round Rock.

Josh Lindblom, who is at Round Rock, will be recalled on Monday to start when Ogando's turn in the rotation comes up again.

Ogando allowed two runs on four hits with one walk and three strikeouts over six innings on Wednesday against Oakland, but complained about the injury during his start.

Ogando had one stint on the DL last season with a right groin strain.

Burns has a 1.38 ERA over 14 appearances with the Express. Lindblom, who transitioned from reliever to starter out of spring training, has gone 4-0 with a 2.08 ERA over eight games, including seven starts, with the Express.
