Rangers draft five RHPs on Day Two

The Texas Rangers went heavy on right-handed pitchers on Day Two of the First-Year Player Draft.

Five of their eight selections were right-handers, although the most noteworthy pick might have been their fifth round selection of catcher Joe Jackson out of The Citadel. Jackson's great, great, great uncle is "Shoeless" Joe Jackson.

Here's a breakdown of the eight picks from the second day:

* 3rd round -- RHP David Ledbetter out of Cedarville University (Ohio)

* 4th round -- SS Isaiah Kiner-Falefa out of Mid-Pacific Institute in Hawaii

* 5th round -- C Joe Jackson from The Citadel

* 6th round -- RHP Sam Wolff from University of New Mexico

* 7th round -- RHP Nick Gardewine from Kaskaskia Community College in Illinois

* 8th round -- 2B Evan Van Hoosier from College of Southern Nevada

* 9th round -- RHP Jose Samayoa from Lee University in Tennessee

* 10th round -- RHP Cole Wiper from University of Oregon

-- Drew Davison
