The Texas Rangers could juggle their rotation after today's game against the Athletics.
The Rangers have Saturday's starter now listed as "TBD," and will make an official announcement on their rotation plans following the game. If the rotation held, the start would go to Nick Tepesch.
However, it appears the Rangers are preparing to recall left-hander Martin Perez from Triple A Round Rock. Perez has gone 4-0 with a 1.13 ERA in four starts since his season debut on the front end of a doubleheader at Arizona.
In that game, Perez gave up nine hits and four runs in 51/3 innings of a 5-3 Rangers loss.
Tepesch, meanwhile, has gone 0-2 with a 6.95 ERA over four starts this month. Tepesch said he feels fine physically, and was pleased with his between starts bullpen.
Tepesch could still remain in the big leagues, as the Rangers could stick with him and send either Justin Grimm or Josh Lindblom back to Triple A. Or make another move.
But, for now, it appears that Perez is in line for a call up.
