Rangers want to see Yu Darvish make adjustments

Manager Ron Washington said on Wednesday that the Rangers' coaching staff is likely to make suggestions to Yu Darvish on some adjustments he should consider to help snap him out of a seven-start winless streak.

Washington declined to detail what might be in store for Darvish, but said that advanced scouting has caught up with the right-hander. he has still been effective, posting a 2.98 ERA since his last win May 16, but he hasn't been as efficient with his pitches and in two of the starts surrendered two-run leads.

"It's not a concern," Washington said. "I think he's going to have to change his way of doing things because it looks like other teams are starting to make adjustments. I don't think that he's being stubborn. When he goes out there he trusts in himself."

Darvish continues to lead baseball in strikeouts with 143, and his .191 opponents batting average tops the American League.
