Thursday's Rangers-Yankees lineup: Engel Beltre gets first MLB start

Engel Beltre went to high school in New York before it became a better financial decision for him to return to the Dominican Republic and sign as a 16-year-old rather than graduate from high school and become subject to the MLB draft. So, it's a big deal for him to be at Yankee Stadium and making his first big-league start in front of friends and family.

Jurickson Profar is also in the lineup, as manager Ron Washington had promised since Tuesday. Out are Leonys Martin, who had made 14 straight starts; Lance Berkman, who had made two; and A.J. Pierzynski, who had caught five straight.

Rangers lineup vs. RHP Phil Hughes: Ian Kinsler, 2b; Elvis Andrus, ss; Nelson Cruz, rf; Adrian Beltre, dh; Mitch Moreland, 1b; Geovany Soto, c; David Murphy, lf; Jurickson Profar, 3b; Engel Beltre, cf.

Yankees lineup vs. LHP Derek Holland: Ichiro Suzuki, cf; Jayson Nix, ss; Robinson Cano, dh; Vernon Wells, rf; Zoilo Almonte, lf; Lyle Overbay, 1b; David Adams, 2b; Alberto Gonzalez, 3b; Austin Romine, c.
